He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Benoy and Alice Benoy (Baker); his brothers, Verlyn Benoy and Wayne Benoy; and his siblings-in-law, David Smith, Margie Smith, Helen Benoy and Elaine Dusek.

He is survived by: his wife Sue Smith; his children, Arlys Lankey (Jim), Duane Benoy (Michelle) and Doreen Benoy; his grandchildren, Brigitte Benoy (Caroline Klisanich), Jesse Benoy (Chloe), Halee Benoy, Gabby Thompson and Izzy Thomspon; and his siblings-in-law, Marvin Dusek and Catherine Benoy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family, neighbors and friends.
