He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Sauer and Mary Sauer; his wife Kathleen Schmitt; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Schmitt and Frederick Moser.
He is survived by: his son Michael (Teresa Manion); his sisters, Noel Moser and Jean Steier; and his brother-in-law Joseph Steier. He is also survived by niece, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
