Of Hubertus Passed away peacefully on March 24, 2024, at age 90. Beloved wife of the late Donald. Loving mother of Cindy (Gary) Morgan, Jeff King (Jennifer Frank), and Cheryl (Scott) Yehle. Proud grandmother of Michael (Maggie) Morgan, Matthew Morgan, David Morgan, Erin (Pete) Collies, and Joshua Yehle (Sara Slavik). Great-grandmother of Poemma, Marigold, Willa, and Sylvee Morgan. Sister of Harlan Gruenstern and sister-in-law of Robert Piche, Kenneth (Yvonne) King, and Richard (Jan) King. Special friend of Marge Vargo. Godmother of Jeanne Vargo. Further survived by other family and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents Norman and Marian (nee Hansen) Gruenstern, in-laws Richard and Agnes (nee Potvin) King, and sisters-in-law Elaine Gruenstern and Una Piche.
Jeannette was born in Stephenson, MI and graduated from Stephenson High School in 1951. On June 23, 1956, she married Donald at Stephenson Methodist Church and they were blessed with 60 wonderful years together.
Throughout Jeannette's life she held secretarial jobs at various companies. After retirement, Jeannette and Don transported students by van for Riteway Bus Company. For several years she was a volunteer at Froedtert Hospital in Menomonee Falls and was an election poll worker for the village of Richfield.
As a 55-year member of Emmanuel Community United Methodist Church she sang in the choir, participated in work missions and the Kitchen Club, and was the administrative council secretary for 20 years.
She enjoyed camping, antiquing, playing cards, and frequently traveling to Stephenson to visit family and friends. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Emmanuel Community United Methodist Church – Menomonee Falls, N84W16707 Menomonee Ave, from 10am until time of Memorial Service at 12pm. Final resting place at Stephenson Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church or to Milwaukee Rescue Mission (Note Cross Trainers Academy on check memo) are appreciated.
