He was predeceased by: his parents-in-law, Julius Wilke and Agusta Wilke; his siblings-in-law, Patricia Sabrowsky and Malcom Sabrowsky; his grandson Seth Fintelmann; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Wilke and Vernie Wilke.
He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Jeff Gottsacker (Lisa), Richard Gottsacker of Sheboygan and Julie Fintelmann (Jeff) of Franklin; his grandchildren, Nathan, Aaron Gottsacker (Lisa), Jordan Gottsacker, Becky Gottsacker, Katelin, Jenna Fintelmann, Landon, Carter and Roman Gottsacker; his sisters-in-law, Bob Hansen, Joyce Hansen of Racine, Peter Beyer and Barbara Beyer of Green Bay; and his cousins, Joann Chapla (Rodney) and Sharon C. Sherman Martin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
