He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Grunewald and Elenora Grunewald Sr. (Barts); his wife Marilyn Bohlmann of Paul's Lutheran Church; his daughter Ruth Grunewald-Goetsch; his sons-in-law, Scott Pantel and Dave TenPas; his siblings, Milton (Dorothy), Norman (Virginia), Merlin and Viola Lemke (Arnold); his sister-in-law Evelyn Specht (Harvey); and his father-in-law Arthur Bohlmann (Mary).
He is survived by: his daughters, Connie Engelman (Tom), Donna Pantel, Amy Grunewald, Diann TenPas (John Buss) and Jennifer Grunewald (Dan); his grandchildren, Jeremy Engelman (Beth), Ryan Engelman, Julie Engelman, Shawn Krueger (Angela), Alissa Preuss, Derek Pantel, Trevor Bramstedt (Dalton) and Brody Boeshaar; his great grandchildren, Eryka, Aleah Miskell (Evan Meyer), Addison, Jack, Sofia Krueger and Miah Preuss; his great great grandchildren, Zuri and Zara; his son-in-law David Goetsch; his sister-in-law Mary Grunewald; and his friend Gary Krueger. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Martin's name.
