Eugene A. Rabe Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene A. Rabe of Howards Grove, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 1, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfon Rabe and Oliva Rabe (Brocker); his sister Carol Gaedtke (Rabe); his parents-in-law, William and Laura Balz; and his siblings-in-law, Jerome Balz, Gordon Schmitz and Marion Balz.
He is survived by: his wife Rachel Balz; his children, Alan Rabe of Manitowoc, WI, Brenton (Kristy), Colton, Duston (Brittney), Dakota (Sierra) and Dale Rabe (Kathy); his grandchildren, Amber Schmidt (Jeremy Schultz), Nicholas (Jenna), Ben Matzdorf, Matt Matzdorf (Armella) and Nick Matzdorf (Krissy); his child Lynn Trochta (David); his grandchildren, Cody (Stephanie Unger), Austin and Jocelyn; his great grandchildren, Kinley, Landon, Elaina, McKenna, Kesley, Braydon, Logan, Zoey, Roman, Ainsley, Ben Jr., Theodore, Cassius, Audrey and Averie; his siblings-in-law, Herman Gaedtke, Adeline Schmitz and Carol Balz; and his nieces and nephews, Jim Klich and Marty Frick. He is also survived by many other friends and relatives.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Eugene's name for St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Howards Grove.
