He was predeceased by: his parents, George Knapp and Martha Knapp (Brennenstuhl); his sister Audrey Baxter; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Schulz (Hazel) and Marjorie Schulz.
He is survived by: his wife Myrna Schulz; his daughters, Debbie Knapp and Lori Piatkowski (Gary); his sisters, Delores Heineman and Mary Hintz (Daryl); and his brother-in-law William Schulz. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews.
