He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Lautenschlager (Herbert Gabriel) and Florence (Casey); his wife Virg of Mary's Catholic Church; and his son Gene Joseph. He is survived by: his children, Jay Lautenschlager and Carrie Stueck (Doug); his grandchildren, Ryan Lautenschlager, Autumn Lautenschlager, Jason Moder (Tara), Justin Moder (Nicole), Ashley Moder, Kelly Vlasaty (Adam), Kayla Nelson (Evan), Garth Lautenschlager (Alexa) and Jack Rathsack (Margaret); his great grandchildren, Bryce, Brett, Whitley, Avery (Brady), Jonathan, Hailey, Freya, Levi, Lena and Archie; and his sisters, Margaret Parker and Anna Krueger (Gary). He is also survived by many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home (209 W Cook St, New London, WI 54961). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
