He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Fonstad and Olga Fonstad; his spouse Janet Fonstad; and his siblings, Alvin and Lois Johnson.
He is survived by: his sons, Steve of Holmen and Ron of Murrieta, CA.; his daughters-in-law, Cathy (Steve) and Linda (Ron); his granddaughters, Nicole Padgett (Michael) and Megan Lentner (Louis); his stepgrandsons, Philip Ruce (Mary) and Charles Ruce (Heather); his great grandchildren, Evan, Gabriella and Zoie Padgett; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Evelyn and Magnolia Ruce; and his siblings, Alice Johnson of Milwaukee and Roy of Holmen. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews as well as countless friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Holmen Lutheran Church, Holmen American Legion or the Holmen Fire Department.
