He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Thurston and Ardell Thurston (Berry); his brother Tom; his brother-in-law Ron Sanders; and his nephew Rob Culpitt.
He is survived by: his wife Marsha R. Guthrie of Mary's Catholic Church; his daughters, Jaime Gremore (Jay) of Mindoro and Melanie Straate (Travis) of Holmen; his grandsons, Jake Weber (Selma) of Colorado Springs and William Straate of Holmen; his sisters, JoAnn Crocker, Kathy Sanders, Linda Erickson (Eldie) and Tari Skinner (Chad); his parents-in-law, Miles and Dorla Guthrie; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Thurston, Lynn Smith (Al) and Steven Guthrie (Joyce). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many other friends and family.
