He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Buehler and Bernetta Buehler (Baumgartner); his sister Margaret Foellmi; his parents-in-law, Avenelle and Robert Lorenz; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Lorenz and Charles Lorenz.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Lorenz; his daughter Julie Lawrence (Bob) of La Crosse; his grandchildren, Rachel Erdmann (Aaron), Steve (Rachel) and Tyler Lawrence (Nikki); his son Robert (Lynette) of Rice Lake; his grandchildren, Kayla Prohvnick (Aaron), Ben and Cody Buehler; his son Brent (Lisa) of Omro, WI; his grandchildren, Olivia Ertmer (Brad) and Casey Jo Buehler (Michael Peters); his son Kent of Sparta; his grandchild Lindsey; his siblings, Bernie Buehler (Rosanne) of La Crescent, MN and JoAnn Boyer (Jim) of Billings, MT; and his siblings-in-law, Jack Lorenz (Twila) of Winona, MN and Kathleen LaPlant (Mark) of Green Bay. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
