He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman LeRoy and Phyllis Leone Hanson (Anderson); his brothers, Dale and Donald; and his nephew Jamie Hanson.
He is survived by: his siblings, Norman E. Hanson (Jane) of Madison, Diane Hanson (Stephanie Eveland) of Elkhorn and Donna Arneson of Hollandale; his nieces and nephews, Paula Hanson Zimmerman (Al), Jody Garthwaite Moen (Jason), Ashley Arneson Keough (Jon), Scott Garthwaite and Jeff Garthwaite (Ashli); and his pet Hannah. He is also survived by 15 great-nieces and nephews, several cousins.
Memorials are suggested to the Olaf Martinson American Legion Post or the Iowa County Humane Society.
