He is survived by: his wife Carol Phillippi; his daughters, Dawn Kearns (Kevin) and Melanie Robinson (Mark); his grandchildren, Phoebe, Cordelia Kearns, Caleb and Finley Robinson; his siblings, Jody Shilts (Clayton) and Cindy Abbiehl (Chad); his stepsisters, Wendy Zeka and Roxanne Kron (Tom); his nieces and nephews, Gina Kildahl (Cory), Theresa Phillippi, Mary Jo Ball, Colin Shilts, Amy Esensten (Jeremy), Devan Prasnicky, Lexi Prasnicky, Tristan Abbiehl and Hope Abbiehl; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Bethany Kohn (Aaron), Dylan, Cole, Sterling Kildahl, Michael Phillippi, Becca, Jenna Ball and Ethan Esensten.
