He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Briel and Judy Briel; and his grandparents, Herbert, Lillian Briel, Elliot and LouDene Parker.
He is survived by: his wife Melissa of Hillsdale; his children, Abigail Briel of Bloomer, WI, Benjamin Briel of Walla Walla, WA and Caleb Briel of Hillsdale; his granddaughter Erika Briel; and his siblings, David Briel (Maria) of Valparaiso, IN and Susie Walters (Phil) of Hebron, IL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
