She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Smith and Lena Smith (Brockman); her husband Frederick "Fritz" Slama; and her siblings, Milton Smith, Verna Smith and Violet Carpenter.
She is survived by: her children, Don Slama (Joanne) of La Valle, Merry Preston (Don) of Union Center, Lori Plucker of Sioux Falls and Nancy Niemcyzk (Bill) of Bluffton; and her brothers, Lyle Smith and Norman Smith. She is also survived by eight Grandchildren; nine Great Grandchildren.
Memorials may be designated for Parkinson's research.
