He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Francis Goetz and Betty Jane Peterson Goetz. He is survived by: his sister Jane; his brother-in-law Henry Sibenaller of Greensburg; his niece Sara (Garrett Grindle) of Pittsburgh; and his uncle Lowell Renshaw of Columbus. He is also survived by friends and coworkers.
It took almost a year of doctor and physical therapy visits, tests and hospitalizations to diagnose his illness as an aggressive form of Parkinson's disease.
