He was predeceased by: his parents, Reinhold Teinert and Irene Teinert (Spatz); and his parents-in-law, Ted and Alice Stenklyft (Plate). He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Teinert; his children, Cara Newman (Matt) and Nelson Teinert, Jr. (Jessica); his grandson Tyler Newman; his sons, Arlo and Gavin Teinert; his siblings, Carl Teinert (Claudia) and Arlene Wendt; and his siblings-in-law, Lois McNiesh (Bill), Terry Stenklyft (Joann), Delores Lorenz (Dan), Rick Stenklyft (Joan) and Ken Stenklyft (Vicki). He is also survived by Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated in Nelson's name to the Hilbert/Potter First Responders or to Green Bay Trinity Lutheran School.
