He was predeceased by: his parents, George Schroeder and Martha Schroeder (Hintz); his wife Janice M Behnke of Peter's Lutheran Church; his parents-in-law, George and Ruth Behnke; his siblings, Delmar Schroeder (Delores), Gerald Schroeder (Darlene), Marcella Federwitz (Edward) and Verona Plate (Lester); and his siblings-in-law, Florence Behnke (Lloyd), George Muenster and Ruben Behnke.
He is survived by: his children, George Schroeder III (Sue Bechlem), Jenine Rosnow (Paul), Shirley Joch (Jon), Betty Olson (Clint) and Janet Fredericks (Lee); his grandchildren, Nicole Ludwig (Josh), Adam Schroeder, Stephanie Schroeder, Brenda Digman, Kevin Alksnis (Amy), Ryan Peterson (Jessica), Kyle Peterson (Abigail), Sarah Penaz (Tony), Doug Olson, Jenna and Raine Fredericks; his great grandchildren, Adley, Ashton Ludwig, Mason Digman, Caleb Alksnis, Ayla, Archer Peterson, Otto, Theodore Peterson, Hunter, Carter, Noah Penaz, Carson, Everly and Adalee Olson; his sister Laverne Muenster; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Maile (Elliot). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
