With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Milton D. Place of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 23, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Place, and Betty Place, Sr. (Kopp); his mother-in-law Elaine Clark; and his brother-in-law Chet "Chester" Hanna. He is survived by: his wife Bunita "Buni" Place; his children, Charles Place of Boscobel, WI, Erin Lack of Tomah, WI, Leah Place of Montfort, WI, Shayna Vitton (Chris) of Fond du Lac, WI and Joseph Place of Oregon, WI; his siblings, Barbara Hanna of Oregon, WI, Sherry Klaas (Larrry) of Stitzer, WI and David Place (Betty) of Fennimore, WI; his sister-in-law Diana Brunow of Mosinee, WI; his brothers, Donovan David and Curtiss Place; his sister-in-law Robin Place; and his nephew Tim Klaas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory (1245 N Water St, Platteville, WI 53818). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, to be dispersed to Milton's favorite causes.
