He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arthur Obriecht and Florence Obriecht (Barrington); his former wife Anne Dondlinger; his son Justin (Tara); his wife Joy Davis; his grandchildren, Clayton, Silas and Gospel Obriecht of Granada Hills, CA; his son Andrew Obriecht of Montello, WI; his stepdaughter Amy Bean (DJ); his stepgrandchildren, Allison, Adam of Maquoketa, IA and Laura Perry (Scott); and also Parker of East Dubuque, IL.

In lieu of flowers, a John Obriecht Memorial Fund has been established.
