He was predeceased by: his parents, Isadore Klar and Kathryn Klar (Jerrett); and his brothers, Joseph Klar and Bob Mether. He is survived by: his former wife Rhonda Hingtgen; his wife Joanne Klar; his sons, Jerrett Klar (Jacquelyn) of Hickory Creek, TX and Jeffrey Klar (Nikki) of Dubuque; his siblings, James Klar of Benton, WI and Christine Schlosser (Ron) of Dubuque; his stepchildren, Jennifer Deutsch (Nick) of Houston, Texas and Daniel Pitts of Willis, Texas; his grandchildren, Vivienne, Winston Klar and Andrew Fritz Klar; and his stepgrandchildren, Makenzie Pitts, Ella, Adelyn and Henry Deutsch. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church or the American Brain Tumor Association.
