He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius H. Jr. Knautz and Viola M. Knautz (Morett); his wife Dianne D. Puls; his son David Knautz; his brothers-in-law, Bill Beyer and Ron Kracke; and his siblings, Phyllis Knautz, Ronny Knautz, Mylo "Mike" Knautz (Margaret), Corrine Sertle (Kite) and LaVern Knautz (Rita).
He is survived by: his children, Debra Soderstrom (Donald) of Rewey, WI, DeeDee Smith (Andy) of Hazel Green, WI, Dennis Knautz (Kelly) of Darlington, WI and Dan Knautz (Renee Brunkow) of Darlington, WI; and his siblings, Madonna Beyer, Sandy Kracke, Shirley Morris (Arlen) and Julius Knautz. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of plants & flowers a Duane E. Knautz Memorial Fund has been established.
