She was predeceased by: her parents, Ervin George and Katherine George (Helbing); her husband Jim; her sons, James and Joseph; and her siblings, Merlin, Darryl, Edwin, Wilfred, Robert and Carol.
She is survived by: her son Chad Degenhardt (Jennifer) of East Dubuque, IL; her grandsons, James and Sean; and her siblings, Eldon George of Dubuque, IA, Charlene Dunwoody of Dubuque, IA, Lavon Haxmeier (Jim) of Dubuque, IA and Milton "Ogger" George (Mary Ellen) of Dubuque, IA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers a Dorothy M. Degenhardt memorial fund has been established.
