He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Robin McCarthy; his children, Jeff (Sarah), Pardeeville, Cindy Lange (Charald), Leiden, Netherlands and David; his parents, Merlin Lange and Evelyn Lange of Hazel Green; his siblings, Deb Schneider of Menominee, IL, Dick Lange (Sheila), Kieler, Tim Lange (Samantha) and Cobb; his parents-in-law, Dave and Peg McCarthy of Highland; his grandparents, Walter, Mary Lange, Paul and Mary Schonhoff; and his brother-in-law Pete Schneider. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
