He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ben Rice and Ida Rice; his spouse Shirley "Deo" Irle; and his children, Penny Gustafson (Gary), Tom Rice, Mike Rice (Kathy), Dan Rice (Kathy), Kathy Rice (Rick Rockenbach), Molly Rice and Ted Rice. He was also cherished by 21 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
