He was predeceased by: his parents, Axel Danielson and Clara Danielson (Steinbach); and his former wife Dorothy "Sunny" Nordstrom. He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Kelly (Mark) of Duluth, MN, Kristi Adell (Gordon) of Hayward, WI, Debra Danielson-Sadlicki (Dennis) of Bartlett, IL, Karen Hutchison (Mark) of Morton, IL, Jonathan Nordstrom (Catherine), Phyllis Danielson Krug (Raymond) of Atlanta, GA, Jayson (Krystyna) of Kankakee, IL and Janette Ramirez of Chicago, IL; his grandchildren, Erik, Nick, Nathan, Evan, Grant, Olivia, Kyla, Aaron, Kevin, Kensey, Karah, Johnathan, Joel, Bradley, Brianna, Jestine, Mitchell, Alexander and Caitrin; and his great grandchildren, Alice, Amelia, Wesson, Ava, Lily, Bryce, Kiersti, Karis, Joshua, Isiah, Marissa, Elliana, Kaden, Annie, Noah, Eli, Luke, Charlotte, Lilly, Ethan, Jonathan Jr., Claire, Joseph and Miles.
Robert volunteered at the Hayward Hospital, the Hayward Library, and the American Cancer Society Cancer Closet.
