He was predeceased by: his parents, Chelcie Overman and Merl Overman (Holcomb); his uncle Basil "Buzz" Holcomb (Judy) of Hayward; his daughter Melissa "Missy" Overman; and his parents-in-law, Harold and Edna Johnson.

He is survived by: his wife Darlene Amelia Johnson of Hayward; his son Matt Overman of Hayward; and his siblings, Gerald Overman (Kathy) of Hayward, Jim Overman (Jeri) of Drummond, Russ Overman of Hayward and Lynn Kavanagh (Mike) of Hayward. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
