She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Muyden and Hermina Van Muyden (Wybenga); her husband Dick; her children-in-law, Amy Popma and Sam Mendoza; and her stepson Todd Sens.
She is survived by: her children, Bret Popma and Nicole Mendoza; her stepdaughters, Brenda May (Eric), Theresa Slater and Sharon Kruskopf; and her siblings, Carmen Van Muyden (Sandy) and Denise Stapf (Ron). She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
