James Milton Anderson Obituary

James M. Anderson, age 69, of Hayward, WI died Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at his home. James Milton Anderson was born July 16, 1949 in Superior, WI the son of Milton and Eunice (Johnson) Anderson. He attended school and graduated from Hayward High School. Jim served in the United States Army from 1969 – 1971 and received Decorations of the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

After the military Jim worked for the State Tree Nursery in Hayward and was a painter. In 1979 he met Dorothy "Jean" Martin. They were together for 39 years and were recently united in marriage on September 28, 2018 at First Lutheran Church in Hayward. He is survived by his wife Jean; sons Matthew Anderson, Michael Anderson; daughters Nikki Martin, Kelly Martin; grandchildren Jazlyn, Kaden, Payton, Baylee, Karlee, Trae, Easton & Bishop; brother Thomas Anderson; sister Patricia Treland; several nephews & nieces.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents Milton & Eunice Anderson. The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at First Lutheran Church in Hayward. Rev. Joel Bacon will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Hayward. Military honors will be accorded by State of Wisconsin Military Honors Teams and Hayward American Legion Post #218.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 21 prior to the service at the church.
