He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlan Whiting and Belle Whiting (Cook); and his brother Leslie Whiting. He is survived by: his wife Cathryn Whiting; his children, Joel Whiting, Chana Kolpien (Denny) and Melissa Erickson (Andrew); his stepson Jay Harz (Jeanne); and his cousins, Harlan, Terry, Lyle, John and Steve. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
