She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Cebula and Susan Cebula (Gorski); her husband Anton Wanta; her daughter Adeline Wanta; and her in-laws, Lambert Gorski (Helen), Henry Cebula (Doris), Alex Cebula, Daniel Cebula, Pauline Page (Bob), Marion Kostka and LaVerne Ostrowski.

She is survived by: her sons, Dave Wanta (Jenny Awana) of Schofield, Jack Wanta (Sue) of Bevent and Ron Wanta (Deb) of Bevent; her son-in-law Clarence'Kelly'Wanta of Bevent; her grandchildren, Todd Wanta (Julie) of Las Vegas, Bruce Wanta (Cindi) of Mosinee, Bryan Wanta (Tammy) of Bevent, Troy Wanta (Ginger) of Las Vegas, Clay Wanta (Kurtis Burton) of Eau Claire, Clint Wanta (Gail) of Elk Mound and Heidi Wanta of Shawano; her great grandchildren, Mandy Wanta, Angie Wanta, Kristen Mollan (Nathan), Katelyn Lopas (Logan), Tyler Wanta, Kyle Wanta (Christina), Isaac Wanta (Madelynn), Evan Wanta, Willem Cabout, Matilda Cabout, Benton Cabout and Atlas Krause; her great great grandchildren, Trenton, Cason, Cash, Ashton and Jett; her siblings, William Cybula (Mary Ann) of Ringle, Natalie Ostrowski of Bevent and James Cebula (Marsha) of Milwaukee; and her sister-in-law Gladys Cebula of Bevent. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked donations be made in Mattie's name to St. Ladislaus Catholic Church.
