He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Cherek and Helen Cherek (Kedrowski); his siblings, Alice, Henry, Bertha, Irene and Daniel; and his daughter-in-law Jackie.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene (VanderKoy); and his children, Mark (Marilyn), Terry (Debbie), Tom, John and Pam Ostrowski (Roger). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
