He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Wanta and Clara Wanta (Zajackowski); and his brother George. He is survived by: his wife Violet Woyak of Joseph's Catholic Church; his children, Colleen Roum of Irvine, CA, Christopher Wanta (Mary) of Kenosha, Phyllis Carmichael (Ed Fallin) of Doswell, VA, Denise Wanta (Steve Ross) of Ironton, OH and Jason Wanta (Michelle) of Suamico; his grandchildren, Brianna, Robyn, Cheyenne, Marie, Anna, Aaron and Collin; his great grandchildren, Maverick and Cohen; and his siblings, Andrew Wanta (Carol), Mary Verity, Dorothy Sherfinski (Tony) and Steve Wanta. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Ladislaus Catholic Church (173141 WI-153, Hatley, WI 54440). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
