She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Schmidt and Edwin Schmidt; her husband Edward Harold Maas "Teddy"; her granddaughter Cassie Maas; and her nieces, Heidi Schultz, Julie Lindemann and Debbie Kuehn.
She is survived by: her children, Eugenie Maas (Jim Anderson), Wendy Maas (Marty Paulson), Stephen Maas (Robin), Peter Maas (Julie), Merry Maas (Steve Ambrose), Michael Maas (Jennifer), Todd Maas (Kristin) and Lisa Maas (Grant McLaughlin); her grandchildren, Teddy Anderson, Jamie Anderson, Dakota Dux, Jessie Dux Finnula, Sierra Dux Bernard, Sara Maas, Kelly Maize, Lindsay Hardy, Lillian Hardy, Stephanie Maas, Alex Maas, Amy Maas, Patrick O'Hara and Nicholas O'Hara; her great grandchildren, Raina, Bowie, Corbet, Nathan and Juniper; and her sisters, Jean Lindemann and Suzi Shepard. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
