Daniel J. Hanrahan Obituary
On the beautiful morning of June 12th, surrounded by his family, a strong heart took its last beat as Daniel Joseph Hanrahan, Jr passed from this world.
Born November 11, 1943, Dan was the second of nine children born to Daniel and Kathryn Hanrahan. From his early days on the farm, Dan developed an unwavering love of nature. There was no place Dan loved more than his own back porch, with a view of his family homestead as he watched the seasons unfold. His favorite being fall when his passion for the deer hunt was legendary. Dedicated and hard-working, he spent his 40-year career at the Falk Corporation.
He leaves behind the love of his life, Bonnie. They were one month away from celebrating their 60th anniversary. Dan was the loving father to his daughter Lisa, and his son Daniel and daughter-in-law Trisha. He was the proud grandpa of his two beloved grandsons and their wives, Ryan & Rachel Hanrahan, and Devin & Claudia Hanrahan. His love of family continued to grow as he welcomed the next generation of Hanrahans, his great grandson Patrick Daniel, and he was delighted to recently learn about his future great granddaughter arriving this December. There is no doubt he will be looking over all of us as our lives unfold.
Dan will be missed by his eight siblings, many brothers and sisters-in-law, countless nieces & nephews, cousins and many friends.
We know he was greeted by a large circle of those that passed before him, including his parents, his in-laws Leo and Louise Navin, and cherished family & friends.
A man of faith, Dan's celebration of life will be on June 21, 2024, at 6:30 pm at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Monches. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the time of the service.
