He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold Westphal and Virginia Westphal (Kuehn); his wife Roberta K. Kranhold; his children, Julie Klein (Alan), Amy Jo Fullerton (Freddy), Angie Hose (Dan), David (Angela), Ally Cooley (Logan), Jacob, Sam Klein, Emily Ljunggren (Chad), Alex Fullerton, Derek, Jack Hose, Sophia and Henry Westphal; his great grandchild Baby Ljunggren; his brothers, James (Mary), Richard (Mary) and Michael; his sisters-in-law, Linda Roemer (Tom), Sally Heideman (late Michael "Coach") and Karen Bodoh (Richard); and his nephew Danny Westphal. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bob's name are appreciated to the Allenton Lions Club.
