With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Carlson (Hartford, Wisconsin), who passed away on March 1, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Carlson and Dorothy Carlson; and his in-laws, Clarence Reese and Eileen Yager. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Carlson (Reese); his children, Jason Carlson (Jennie), Aaron Carlson, Damian Carlson (Tracey), Jodi Miller (Mike) and Kristen Ratzburg (Scott); his grandchildren, Amanda Novak (Shawn), Brittany Geiger (Tim), Courtney Danzinger (Jeremy), Molly Freiberg (Eric), Brandon Carlson, Elizabeth Carlson (Tommy), Monica Gehring, Alex Miller (Alyssa), Kyle Carlson, Alicia Carlson, Parker Ratzburg (Kalli), Logan Carlson, Nathan Carlson, Dakota Ratzburg (Beth), Hannah Carlson, Madison Ratzburg and Kolton Ratzburg; his great grandchildren, Lincoln, Jensen Geiger, Callie, Gracie Danzinger, Layla, Lily Freiberg, Luna, Lilah Miller and Carson Ratzburg; his siblings, Vern Carlson (Mary) and Ed Carlson (Pat); his in-laws, Carol Huehne, Lynette Jensen, Jolene Helbing, Michael Reese (Becky), Victoria Neis (Dale), Kim Adams (Jerry) and Tracey Sherwin (Brad); his sister Virginia Burlinson; his in-laws, Diane Metz, Kevin Reese and John Huehne; and his nephew Travis Suthers. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St, Hartford, WI 53027). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Bob's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
