He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Hirth and Anton Hirth; his daughter Lisa Hirth; and his siblings, Tony Hirth and Annamarie Schere.

He is survived by: his wife Henrietta Hirth; his sons, Kevin Hirth (Becky) and Josef Jr. Hirth (Joy); his granddaughter Tiffany Loeh (Daniel); and his great grandchildren, Cody and Belle Peters. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
