She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Theodore Ullmann and Ella Ullmann (Ewert); her husband Roger Sterr; her children, Denise Held (Charlie) and Jeffrey Sterr (Susan); her daughter-in-law Cindy Polansky (Stewart); her grandchildren, Brad, Matthew (Nicole), Luke, Andrea, Emily, Ben Held (Chloe), Breanna Sterr, Nick and Jake Sterr (Alison); her great grandchildren, Charlie, Adeline, Stella, Mila Held, Anthony and Theodore Sterr; her sister Dorothy Multhauf; her son Anthony; and her brother Arnold. She was also cherished by relatives and friends.
