He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude and Oscar, Sr.; and his brother Oscar, Jr.. He is survived by: his significant other Christine "Chris" Westphal; his children, Nick (Molly) and Julia (Travis Belyeu); his grandchildren, Stihl, Tripp and Knox; his pets, Bailey and Fiona; his brothers, William "Bill", Mike (Darlene) and Paul Wagner (Kim); and his aunt Joannie Horst. He is also survived by friends, grandchildren and grand dogs.

In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the family for placing a memorial park bench in Jim's memory at one of his favorite places, Pike Lake State Park.
