He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Rettler and Frances Rettler (Homestead); his brother Jeff Rettler; his parents-in-law, Roman and Ruth Hansen; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Krause, Richard Hansen and Kay Hansen.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Hansen of Kilian's Catholic Church; his children, Julie Rettler (John), Jill Rettler-Schmidt (Dean) and Joe Rettler (Kelly); his grandchildren, Hayden Rettler and Griffin Rettler; his siblings, Carlene Schuster (Gene), Harvey Rettler (Lucy) and Allen Rettler (Delores); his siblings-in-law, David Hansen (Maureen), Bob Hansen (Jane), Tom Hansen (Carolyn), Jim Hansen (Mary), Kurt Hansen (Roxy), Louise Hansen, Mary Gutschenritter (Jim), Daryl Krause (Sandy), Lisa Schicker (Bill), Brenda Schultz (Dan) and Janet Rettler; and his friend Butch Schmitt. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
