He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Schmidt and Anita Schmidt (Emmer); his siblings, Alfred, John, Harvey, Joseph and Dorothy Heinecke; his siblings-in-law, Robert Heinecke, George Deuber, Merle Hofmaier, Ed DeGrave, Florence Schmidt and Margie Schmidt; and his parents-in-law, Slyvester and Marie Breuer.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Breuer; his sons, Allen (Sara), Mark and Roger (Deanna); his grandchildren, Derek, Travis, Kendra Schmidt, Vanessa, Jillian Schwake and Rodee Schmidt; his siblings, Clarence Schmidt and Arlene Deuber; his siblings-in-law, Betty Schmidt, Rhea Schmidt, Bernice Mueller (Ted), Esther Hofmaier, Shirley DeGrave and Ralph Breuer (Karin); and his cousin Robert. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
