He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilmer Schauer and Helen Schauer; and his sister Joyce Williams (Burt Williams). He is survived by: his wife Sandie Wittenburg; his sons, Steven Schauer (Kathleen) of Davenport, Alan Schauer (Penny) of Madison, WI and David Schauer (Michelle) of Saddlebrooke, Missouri; his grandchildren, Alexander, Abigail, Hannah, Benjamin, Christina, Kaitlin and Andrew; and his brother John Schauer (Jeanine). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
