Genevieve Grace (Wickstrom) Wickstrom Morrison Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Genevieve Grace (Wickstrom) Morrison of Hartford, Wisconsin, born in Meadowlands, Minnesota 3-14-1926 to Margaret (Lundin) Wickstrom and Morris Wickstrom. She passed away on August 1, 2020, at the age of 94, in the village of Slinger, Wisconsin, leaving to mourn family and friends. There was no service for Grace as she was cremated and her ashes will be in family plot in Meadowlands once this virus leaves. Grace once worked at the cheese factory in Meadowlands, she was a governess in Duluth during WWII.
She married Don Morrison of Duluth and they moved to Los Angeles then Chicago, set down roots in Hoffman Estates, bought a home and had a family, worked in couple upholstery shop, helped her daughter Connie with her shop in New York. Grace worked at seamstress and upholstery her whole working life, she was very good at many things, she taught her daughters to sew, taught Connie the business. She was always helping others with what ever she could.
She was active in her church, outreach programs and many friends and family. She taught sewing to children in a Chicago suburb orphanage, loved children, helped lost and hurt animals in the neighborhood, always was there to give a helping hand to those who needed it. She enjoyed travel, lived in Minnesota, Illinois, New York, Idaho and Wisconsin, liked sightseeing, and travel to family reunions and seeing the family farm, towns and places she grew up seeing.
Remember Sanitary Harrys? She will be missed by all. She leaves behind daughters Connie, Debbie and Gail, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and friends.
Grace has seen all her brothers, sisters and many family members pass, now she is with them, she is missed and loved by all, but we will see her again in the great beyond. Love you.
