Alita L. Burish Obituary

Alita Burish, (65), of Hartford, WI, passed away on June 20th, 2023 in her home.

Alita was born in Milwaukee, WI to Gerald Spangler and Marion Zakzesky on December 18th, 1957. She married Michael Burish on April 29th, 1983 in Milwaukee, WI. They divorced in 1996. She graduated from Gateway Technical College – Racine with a certification in Property Management. She worked as a Certified Property Manager and Notary with Ogden & Company (Milwaukee, WI) and Outlook Management Group (Muskego, WI) over the last 20 years. She was an avid supporter of the ASPCA and the German Shepard Rescue, adopting and fostering adult German shepherds with medical needs.

Alita is survived by her longtime partner Robert Thogerson, her daughter Samantha (Christopher) Bumpus, grandchildren Adriana and Brandon Bumpus, and siblings Marion Hojnacki and Duke (Diane) Spangler.

Alita is preceded in death by her parents Gerald and Marion, siblings Roxanne Spangler and Sue Ponik, and ex-husband Michael Burish.

Visitation will be on Monday, July 3 from 11AM until time of Funeral Service at 12:30PM at Schmidt & Bartelt – Sussex; W250 N6505 Hwy 164. Burial will follow at St Patrick's Cemetery 1928 Erin Mountain Ct. Hartford, WI 53027. Arrangements are by Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home.
