He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon LaPorte and Anna LaPorte (Scharf); and his brother Vernon LaPorte Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Viola LaPorte; his daughters, Rebecca Brooks (Brian), Michelle LaPorte and Jessica Huss (Michael); his grandchildren, Kayla, Kathy, Sara, Melissa, Alexandra, Daniel, Megan and Alexis; and his sisters, Nona Bliske and Diane Roloff. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
