He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Patricia Lutz; his children, Bob Lutz (Cara), Anne Bullock (Ron), William Lutz (Jamie), John Lutz (Nicole), Michael Lutz and Mary Smolen (Todd); and his grandchildren, Bobby, Brooke, Logan Lutz, Bryant, Brittany, Brett, Brendon Bullock, Billy Lutz, Jordan, Lillian, Jonathan "Jack" Lutz, Abby, Isabelle Lutz, Jamie, Elizabeth Smolen and Milwaukee. He was also cherished by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family; as they will be allocated to the Milwaukee Angels Baseball Organization as a scholarship fund that will continue William's legacy in a sport he loved.
