He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerhard Haass and Clara Haass; and his sister Donna Carlson. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Sheryl Stefaniak, MD (Tom), Kevin (Carolyn) and JD; his grandchildren, Elyse, Hannah, Andrew Stefaniak, Clara and Henry Haass; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Wright and Michael Miller (Barbara Kiely Miller). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
