Steve R. Cannistra Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 31, 2022, at the age of 101, Steve R. Cannistra (Hales Corners, Wisconsin) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Lucille (Trojahn); his parents, Rosario Cannistra and Congetta Cannistra; and his siblings, Stefano, Mary Zach (Emil), Don, Jeannette Eydam (Eric), Frances Giamo (Joe), Stephanie Kelley (Bob), Joe (Vi) and Rose Ochalek.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Lorentz (Dennis), Charles (Diane), Steve (Elaine), Tom and Mike Cannistra; his grandchildren, Joannie Kalina (Mike), Lisa Smith (Mark), Alex, Kathy, Lori Jones (Kyle), Lindsey, Nick (Andrea) and Micaela Cannistra; his sister-in-law Helen Trojahn; and his great grandchildren, Abby, Ellie, Ty, Luke Kalina, Carly, Colt Smith, Ella and Dylan Cannistra. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, many relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Camp Whitcomb Mason, which was a life-changing opportunity for him as a young city boy, or St. John the Evangelist are appreciated.
