Scott E. Carter Obituary

Born to eternal life on April 9, 2022. Age 67. Loving husband of Susan Gavinski (nee Riedel); dear father to Sarah (Andy) Kasper and Timothy (Theresa) Gavinski; beloved son of Shirley (nee Stultz) and brother to Kim Carter, Polly (Jay) McCombs and Susan (David) Jack. Proud Grandpa of Erin. Claire, Lauren, Emily and Olivia. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

Preceded in death by his father Lawrence (Shorty) Carter.

Raised in Rockton, IL and a graduate of Illinois State, he was a history teacher and coach at Princeton, IL and Whitnall High School. His love of history was evident in his effort to make history come alive in the classroom. Besides history, his passions in life were golf, baseball, music and reading. He will be deeply missed by family, friends and students.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Boerner Botanical Gardens in Hales Corners, WI from 3:30-7:30. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Diabetes Association or Menomonee Falls Food Pantry appreciated.
